These are no longer trees. Or are they?
Black remnants of the past, still standing in the middle of the grasslands.
At the natural reserve I wrote about in my last post there are a number of dead trees. And by dead I mean dead: they aren’t just bare of their leaves. They have no bark and they are losing their limbs, one at a time.
I don’t know why it happened, but I noticed that they all are lone trees set apart from the others, so maybe it’s something that happens in nature. I also didn’t notice any evident damage such as a splits caused by lightning.
At any rate, I found them very interesting subjects, although isolating them from the background was a bit though because the place was very flat, so all I could do was raising or lowering my camera.
